Damian M. Prince - Founder & Executive Director
Damian M. Prince has a B.S. in Health Science from Central Michigan University and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University, and most recently obtained K-12 Administrator Leadership Certification from Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. He has been in nonprofit education / mental health since 2013, starting off as a 1:1 Special Education Paraprofessional. Mr. Prince currently serves in the role of Assistant Principal at a K-8 Charter School where he leverages is educational and clinical experience to positively contribute to a positive school culture, and support the leadership in achieving the school's goals for academic excellence and student success.

C. J. May - Director Basketball Programs
C.J. May has dedicated his 15+ year career in youth & adult athletic programming rooted in the teaching fundamental skills and coaching teams in the development of crafting championship mindsets in boys and young men in urban environments. Coach C.J has both passion for and expertise in basketball programming and working with organizations committed to teaching the game of basketball using culturally sustainable examples. As the Director of Basketball programs, Coach C.J. is supporting the expansion of Raising Champions transformative journey not only to show what is possible for young Black boys and men in sports but, in doing so, reimagine how sports can close the achievement gap for us all.
